The Northern Natural Gas Pipeline transports natural gas from West Texas’ Permian Basin to markets in Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. The Chicago area is one of its largest customers. The pipeline system is comprised of 14,900 miles of pipeline capable of transporting 5.5 BCF/day of gas.
