The Southern Natural Gas Pipeline is the largest gas pipeline system serving the Southeast transports gas from the southern Producing Areas and northern Gulf of Mexico to markets in Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, and Tennessee. The pipeline is a major supplier of the Atlanta Gas & Light Company. The system includes 8,000 miles of pipeline and a maximum capacity of approximately 3.9 BCF/day.
