The Transcontinental Pipeline (Transco) brings natural gas from the Gulf Coast of Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama, through Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania to deliver gas to the New Jersey and New York City area. The 10,200 mile-long pipeline system is one of the largest in the United States and is capable of transporting up to 8.5 BCF/day to markets in the Northeast. It is owned by the Williams Partners.
