The Tennessee Gas Pipeline (TGP) transports natural gas from the Gulf of Mexico coast in Texas and Louisiana through Arkansas, Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee, Kentucky, Ohio, and Pennsylvania to deliver gas to markets in West Virginia, New Jersey, New York, and New England. The TGP system is also a significant source of supply for the regional Algonquin Gas Transmission Company system, which is the principal interstate natural gas pipeline serving the Boston, Massachusetts area. The pipeline system is one of the largest in the United States, with over 14,000 miles of line capable of transporting 6.7 BCF/day. The pipeline is owned by Kinder Morgan.
